Apologies for letting our story about a dog park escape its leash last week. Not only was the end of the story cut off, but we also gave the wrong e-mail address for Town Councilor Jan Barton.

And we are THROUGH kowtowing to muslims, atheists, homosexuals and anti-American “artists” living on our tax dollars!
By the end of President George W Bush’s 2nd term:
1) Iraq will be well on the way to being a peaceful Christian country. Once Iraq has gone Christian, the Gospel of Jesus will spread throughout the Middle East. The region will be at peace and millions of Arab souls will be saved through the grace of Jesus Christ.
2) Bush will have appointed at least two USSC Justices and the baby slaughterhouses will finally be closed down forever.
3) Gays will be put back in the closet for good. The sodomy and decency laws will be reinstated and their disgusting disease spreading activities will be outlawed again. Maybe we can’t get rid of them, but we can get them out our children’s view.
4) School vouchers will allow parents to send their kids to decent Christian schools instead of the NEA-infested cesspools that exist now.
5) Worthless liberal social welfare programs will be dismantled and replaced by Christian faith-based government funded programs. People will finally get REAL help through Jesus Christ.
6) Filthy shows like Howard Stern, Jerry Springer and Will & Grace will be off the air and replaced with decent Christian family programming. Families will once again be able to turn on the radio or television and not be embarrassed to listen or watch together.
7) The abominable scourge of Internet pornography will end with the expansion and ENFORCEMENT of the Online Decency Act. Pornographers who expose the public to this sickening material will be behind bars where they belong.
You can be with us or against us, but you had BETTER believe one thing:
Christians are DONE sitting at the back of the bus.

Product Description
Lyrics and music to ten hymns, arranged for organ:
“I Just Came To Praise The Lord”; “The Savior Is Waiting”; “Each Step Of The Way”; “Tell All The World About Love”; “I”d Rather Have Jesus”; “Healer Of Broken Hearts”; “Greater Is He That Is In Me”; “The Hiding Place”; “Nearer, My God, To Thee”; “Miracle Of Grace.”… More >>
Like in the lyrics especially. They seem to just be repeating religious terminology without any real depth to them, wheras many more hymns capture the reason of why we go to church. CCM is usually like “God is my best buddy, I’m so happy, yay!” It doesn’t move you as much emotionally, because it doesn’t describe what God has done as well as a hymn can. I’m not saying every single hymn is good or every single Christian contemporary song is bad, I’m just generalizing.
Also, rock and roll has a rebellious and earthly connotation. Much more appropriate for a church setting would be more traditional music. God doesn’t care for “coolness” like we do.
What are some good alternative/ rock and pop, christian songs that are out now, or that are just plain good?
I want songs like listen to our hearts and purify me, lord and farther god, days of elijah pierce my ear stuff like that i have looked every where i know too but it all has music.
Some Christian music is beautiful and exciting. I mean the one where they have whole bands with drums, bass, guitar, keyboards, etc.
Anyways, people don’t even want to give it a chance just because of the lyrics , but then you have hip hop which usually has no instrument performance and just electronic noise AND bad words and crap and yet they Love that.
That’s kinda stupid if you ask me, i’m sure people are moved by the christian music but they just deny it just because it’s christian.
i rather listen to music with wonderful melody and instrumentals, then nonsense noise that i c ant even understand( rap is something sang fast and the rappers think we understand what they say.. which is dumb. If they say something and want to give a message, it should be clear)
When I listens to christian musics, I have a feeling of sorrow, almost cried, or maybe a sadness, or maybe I just feel something sorta of that. Is it because God is showing me I have sin in my life and that I’m in need of repentance? Or is it just the music?

Kids’ music isn’t just for tots; parents can enjoy it too
As parents, we are charged with the health and safety of our young. But hipster parents have yet another duty: protecting our offspring from Miley Cyrus. So we block the Disney Channel, buy Clash onesies and rock our babies to sleep to Radiohead.

Just call him Toby: Artist likes to tinker with his name, but he’s a consistent force in music
By DAVID YONKE BLADE STAFF WRITER It’s hard to keep up with Toby Mac. Not only is he one of the most electrifying and eclectic artists in today’s Christian music scene, he’s also a social activist, an entrepreneur, a family man, and someone who is always tinkering with his name. The singer, songwriter, rapper, studio wizard, and chart-topping artist, who comes to Toledo March 21 for the Awake …

I have a horrible cussing habit that I would like to stop and I’d like to stop listening to music that cusses as well. I know that Christian music never cusses & I am a Christian as well. I know that genres such rap, hip hop, rock, etc. can cuss quite a bit. So should I just listen to Christian music?
