First off, My best wishes go out to Blake and Miranda on their marriage together. I wish you both the best in the years to come. After reading the back story of this song and how Blake heard it on Christian radio one day while driving around and knew immediately that he had to sing it, I totally knew what he meant. I felt the same way. I also heard he used this song to propose to Miranda. With the kind of character I’ve seen and heard from him lately, I have a strong feeling they’ll be together for a very long time. It’s funny how I’m being pulled towards songs that have some relation to God, praying, or something to do with a bigger picture in life these days. Sometimes I just look up and say “ok Lord…I get it! You want me to sing inspirational songs with a deep meaning so people who hear them are more than just entertained….but blessed with a message of hope or healing.” So this is another one I knew I had to do when I heard it. I really don’t think about what I’m going to sing when the time comes….I just pick the songs that seem to fall into my lap…and these kind are the ones that seem to just fit these days. When you’ve seen what I’ve seen in the last year or so, you just don’t believe in co incidence anymore…and the music that seems to fall into my lap is no exception. It’s a rad experience though. today (feb 10 2010) is exactly one year after my first guitar cover here on youtube. that first vid was a whispers in the dark cover. now i’m redoing it, one year later. This drum cover was recorded after I went about 1 or 2 weeks without my drumset, but I was really into it, and it came out fairly well in my opinion. I did mess up once or twice, but overall it was a good recording. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
