Eh im not one to seperate God’s people in the music industry, but i havent heared one Black(Afican American) artist on K-love nesides Kirk FRanklin..about twice :/ And even Hispanic-Americans, like Stacie Orrico or the band “Salvador” Not even Richardo Sanchez. Dont get me wrong, i LOVE the Rock and praise and worship songs! But why arnet any OTHER types of music on K-love?

A question that has been bugging me a very long time, sometimes i feel like if I have the ability to write music, i’m obligated to write for God. But I want to be creative and express myself and write about feelings, people, and just everything , I don’t want to be limited to just writing about my Savior. But, then i feel like a complete jerk because i simply don’t want to. Am i a bad christian? Please, somebody help me.
are they afraid that people might like the lyrics better than the same old sick and sad thoughts that lead down the path to nowhere?
I disagree with Felicity- I listen to the WOW cd’s all the time and they have music that is better than the noise I hear from other kinds of music. and they do have christian rap music. I noticed no one slammed gospel. I think all of you are close minded and bigoted. I dare any of you to really listen to christian music just for the feeling of hope and love and not to be degraded and mentally ambused with thoughts that are at the very least desturbing. All this slamming of people who have faith is something that I wish would stop and other would be open enough to try and see other people’s point of view. The songs people mentioned are good songs and I am glad you pointed them out to me. I do think the south is more open to spiritual lyrics because they have such a big population that believes. You don’t have to be a believer to enjoy it.
Why I avoid Christian music
I don’t agree with Christian Music as a genre. In fact I dislike it. I’ll be careful to add that I am not saying I dislike Christians – and anyway, even if I was, if they really believed, they’d forgive me, right?
